~i'm flabbergasted~

~So while I was ridiculously bored @ work today, I decided to peruse cnn.com and other newsworthy sites...it was not a good idea, because all it did was make me feel sad and disappointed in mankind.

~Why did that creepy guy in GA feel the need to kill AND be-head the girl out for a hike with her dog on New Year's Day? I just don't get it. It's likely he's killed others too...

~There is a 20 yr old pregnant Marine missing...she was scheduled to testify on something she witnessed...now she is nowhere to be found....why?

~Then there's the 'father' (in quotes because he doesn't deserve the title) who THREW his kids off an 80 ft bridge to their death.

Sometimes this world just sickens me...I think I'll go curl up on the couch with Milo & Hula now.

"Why would I want to bring kids into this awful world" is what hubby always says. I take some comfort in the fact that he beheaded her after she was dead. That's sad, that some people are so incredibly heinous that when you find one who's only semi-heinous, it makes you feel better.

Did you hear about the father who killed his two daughters because they were becoming too "Westernized" and left their bodies in his taxi?

Amy-I have felt that way before...I can only imagine how crappy the world will be in 20-30 more years.

Mary-I was VERY tempted to shop @ work today, but I'm still a bit paranoid as I don't know how much internet tracking they do...

Em-I generally do not watch the news either. I hope I'm too busy @ work tomorrow to visit cnn.com

Nichole-No, thankfully I have not heard about that one, but sadly I'm not surprised...

Geez!!

And *this* is why I only watch the news in very small doses. Maybe I am ignorant & uninformed, but at least I'm not depressed & scared to live alone.
