Weaning: Round 3 = SUCCESS!!!

~I am so, so, so happy to report that I am now the SOLE owner of 2 (semi-saggy, TMI?) boobies...but the important part is that I am the SOLE owner. Yep. We are 6 days weaned now. Hooray! He's finally quit pulling on my shirt too. LOL!

~As for the crib situation, that's a whole 'nother animal. E has been sleeping in there but not very well, as you can see from this picture. And as for naps, he refuses to sleep in his crib for me or the sitter. He actually naps on the COUCH (of all places) with the sitter and then she has to sit there next to him to make sure he doesn't roll off. Bummer for her!

~E is still waking numerous times @ night when sleeping in the crib. Last Wednesday night he actually slept 5 hours w/o waking and I was so excited to see some progress. Apparently, it was a fluke because Thursday and Friday night were back to only 1-2 hour spans and 3-4 wakings. Saturday and Sunday nights he slept in my bed...well, mainly because of the wimpy husband being in the house...we will be back in the crib tonight as O is gone for the week. It's amazing though how good E sleeps JUST BECAUSE he's in my bed...it's crazy. Why can't he realize how much more room he would have if he were in his own bed?!?

I know he's only 2 but how about you get him a toy car bed or something like that? It might get him excited about sleeping on his own if it has a theme and some of those beds come with side rails so that they don't fall out. It could ease the transition from your bed to his own. Also providing you with some much needed rest and privacy :D

Congrats on getting your "girls" back!!! That's so exciting! One small step at a time...you and E are doing great! He'll get there!

YEAH!! Congratulations on regaining what are rightfully yours...

Perhaps E doesn't like the crib/walled in concept and will do better with a "big boys bed"?

Yay for the free boobs! :)
I was thinking of you last night when we put Miri in her crib for the first time. She was not a happy camper!!

Yay for weaning! The boobs was probably what you wanted reclaimed first. Are you sure you don't want to just pump and send me your supply? Wet nurses are back in style.

And Julia does the same thing with the sleeping, one night she'll go 5 hours without waking up, then the next night she goes for 3. It's so frustrating, I don't even get my hopes up anymore. I think the key is that when you go to bed, don't get in your most comfy position. As soon as you do is when they wake up!

First of all: WOOHOOOO for weaning success!!! I know that is such a relief for you.

I am going to wonder aloud again: I wonder if he really just does not like his crib because he feels confined & if we would do better with a toddler bed & just a bed rail. After all he's been sleeping in a real bed for so long, this crib thing probably feels weird to him!

Takin' the girls back- woo hoo! I know the weaning process was terribly difficult, so I am happy to hear that you have finally gotten through it.
