Bookish and Not-So-Bookish Thoughts

Bookish and Not-So-Bookish Thoughts is a weekly blogging event hosted by Bookishly Boisterous. It allows book bloggers (and non-book bloggers) to write about pretty much anything, bookish or otherwise (i.e. share exciting plans for the weekend, rants on things they've encountered during the week, etc.).

2) We will be flushing ice cubes down the toilet & wearing our PJs inside out on Monday night as there is finally a  fair chance of some freezing rain and snow that just might get us a SNOW DAY!! That would make the weekend 5 days long!! And right now, Wednesday is predicted for 1-3" of snow...and that's enough in TN to get a snow day as well. I'm trying not to get my hopes up as I know all too well how the forecast and weather changes around here. *sigh*

3) I am on a pistachio diet...binge diet I should say. They are so addicting. I've decided they should be a weekly purchase on the grocery runs. I really enjoyed sitting down on our new recliner couch, eating pistachios and watching some Downton Abbey (I'm 4 episodes behind) the other night. I plan to do some more of that tonight.

4) I have book club tonight. I'm excited to go, but disappointed in myself for not finishing the book. It's all "par for the course" with how my reading and lack of time has gone this year...geesh!! At least I don't have to make dinner...we're meeting at Panera!!

5) I think it's common knowledge that if you have a child with a December birthday, that could be a pretty chaotic time of year - more so than usual. Well, who would have thought that an early February birthday would be the same...seriously...we had E's party last Sunday, then we had to get our President's project completed, we had to do Valentine's for his entire class and then add to that all the "Thank You" notes for his birthday gifts. Whew...I'm exhausted.
