f*******************ck

~because apparently it's too much for me to be hopeful and optimistic that maybe good things are just around the corner or that things will improve in my world.

~i freakin' hit a damn lamp post base as I (tried) to back out of my stupid parking spot after work today. this irks me to no end because this entire parking lot has teeny tiny spaces many of which require special maneuvering to get in & out, but it is also the closest lot to my building. i had no problem getting in the space this morning and (obviously) didn't see the BIG A$$ lamp post before backing out. this frosts my a$$.

~i guess i needed more shit in my life. yay me!

~it's so true. vehicles all go to shit once you pay them off (even if this isn't motor-related).

~on the bright side (trying to be optimistic) it's ONLY the bumper, none of the metal was damaged. the picture looks like it sort of it, but it is just reflection. but the bumper DOES look worse IRL than in the picture.

~i have ghetto-ized my vehicle and am NOT happy about it.

I know it sucks at the moment but it could be worse. Like getting hit on your car on the same spot twice in one week.... YUP! Or getting stop by cops three times a week!

Shit...i had a pole jump into the side of my car once. Someone really needs to do something about those jumping poles - one of them got you too.

Awww, that sucks! Sorry that happened!

I hope you're at least enjoying the Wings! I know that was how I was getting rid of pent up aggression yesterday (yelling at the tv).

That completely blows. I, too, have bumper damaged caused by me doing something stupid. Pulling out of our garage, I turned the wheel too soon and scraped the front bumper on the stucco. :-P

I have sooo done this before...and it sucks. But no one got hurt and you'll be ok

I think we're car shit soulmates--I hit the damn security barrier right after I came through the base gate with my rear bumper tonight. Yay.

Sorry, I had to vent. Arg.

Ha! Sorry, I don't mean to laugh because it *does* suck. But I did the same thing to my Saturn twice. Once I scraped into a pole pulling out, and the front side bumper was smashed in for 10 years. I also ripped off the side view mirror pulling out of the garage. My favorite, though, was when I ripped the car door off; I was mad David hadn't moved the cars for me, backed up into some rocks and ripped it off.

I'm glad you're trying to speak positively!!! haha

Look on the bright side... now that it's ghetto-fied, it will be less likely to be stolen!!!

Hang in there!

I'm sorry, that does suck. But I am very proud of you for trying to look on the bright side of the situation. :)

My husband side-swiped a road sign with our SUV when we lived in Germany & the vehicle was almost brand new at the time. It had just been delivered to us a week before the incident, in fact. We drove around with it ghetto-ized for two years before I finally got it fixed after returning to the U.S. No problems with having it broken into or stolen while it was ghetto-ized. :)

Great way to start the week, huh? Sorry it happend. I've done dumb stuff like that. My greatest was driving onto the shoulder, where there was a HUGE pothole. Broke not 1 but 2 (TWO) rims. Husband was not pleased!

I think it adds character to your car. A tale to tell. We are not perfect and need to be reminded of that every so often.

Just catching up with all your posts:
*Sucks that you hit a pole! Murphy's Law....just 'cause it's now paid off!
*Glad that you got that camera that you wanted, I wish I had one. It's what I asked for for my birthday! Fingers crossed.
*I agree that people only share when things are good in their life, that's kind of why I like to follow you...the honesty!
*And that was the cutest picture with O! Always love the zoo with the kiddos! Looks/sounds like you enjoyed your trip!
*Finally, smiling with the fact that you are seeking positive in your daily life! I'm sure it helps.

That would so happen to me. I am always certain I will hit something when backing up. I keep saying my cars should not even come with reverse as an option. =P
