Cry Out to Jesus

While I'm not a big listener of Christian music, there is some that I like. Third Day is one of my favorites and this song has been on my playlist lately...some parts hit a bit closer to home than other parts.

To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye

And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith in love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering

When your lonely (when you're lonely)
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus

To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight

I used to listen to Third Day a lot, but I haven't listened to them in a long time. Recently, though, I've been on this Jars of Clay kick. I always thought both bands had some good music with good lyrics.

wow, wow, wowwwww, this just brought chills and teats to my eyes-thank you! I will definitely be putting this on my playlist. It really couldn't have come at a better time this post (song). I just finished praying myself when I thought 'let me check what new posts are up?' and this comes up as my 1st. Thanks again!

I'm the same way, but Third Day is a great Christian group. Thanks for sharing these lyrics. You always seem to have great songs on your Ipod.

Every once in a while, a song will hit me too. For me it was "Who Am I?" by Casting Crowns. I came across it at just the right time.

I love Third Day! I have their X-mas cd and love it. I have a few songs on the ipod from Third Day but not this one. I do know this song though. I have a special bond with Christian music. I grew up Catholic and ventured off to a new world when I hit 18. I went to a very casual non-demoninational church and fell in love with the worship portion. I don't like sermons. I have ADD and can't concentrate long enough. So now every Sunday morning i worship to Christian music I get my fix in for the week! The phone I gave you has a couple of Christian music ringtones on it. One is Superchick (We Live We Love) and I can't remember the other one.
